Be The Queen of Hearts with Bandana As Your Crown – Awesome Headband Hairstyles

October 15, 2020

Bandanas were once considered an old school wardrobe item that suited the dressing style of country-side people, cowboys, and Indians. Over the years their paisley prints evolved into an aesthetic artwork of colors, customized prints, and designs. Fashionistas have helped in the resurgence of these historical pieces of fabric, turning their unstylish status to an extremely chic one. Now we see stylish bandanas making bold appearances on best style blogs, magazines, and even on runways; proudly donned by star celebrities and supermodels.

People are becoming obsessed with the whole bandana campaign. It is being used as a neck accessory. Women are eagerly pairing outfits with bandanas on the head because as head-scarves and hair-bands they look terrific. No matter how much you play around, with bandanas it will never be enough.

A personal favorite of mine – a red bandana with floral print by 4inbandana can take a boring outfit to the next level making it funky and cute. It has become an “outfit completer” for me and many others who love to add color in their apparel subtly.  Here are some ideas so that you can enjoy styling your bandana as a versatile head accessory; read on and have fun.

The 50’s inspired headband with a knot

A perfect throwback to the 1950s with this look, tie the bandana around your hair and leave them loose down your back. This girly-look is bound to make you feel younger than your years. Be flirty; flaunt those shiny, bouncy locks and have fun.

Procedure

Use a long bandana-scarf or fold it diagonally to increase the length and give it a triangular shape. Fold the bandana from the center and keep folding until it becomes a four-inch long strip. Part your hair from the middle using a comb.

Adjust the bandana at the back of your head and tie it in a knot at the front. Now take two sections of the parted hair from either side of the pull them over the sides of the bandana and tuck them in. Pull at the strands from beneath the bandana for a straight and sleek look.

Tiara- Style Bandana Ponytail

A ponytail coupled with a bandana headband looks elegant and classy. This simple hairdo is easy to create and can transform your look and outfit completely. It is a perfect hairstyle for when you’re headed out for a nice fancy dinner.

Procedure

Make a low or a high ponytail depending on your preference; I like to sport a bandana headband with a low ponytail. Afterward, fold the bandana diagonally to increase its length and to give it a triangular shape. Fold the bandana from the center till you make a four-inch strip. (Basically repeat the 2nd step of the previous hairstyle). Place the bandana on the crown of your head and tie a knot at the base of your ponytail to finish the look.

Ballerina Hair Wrap

Replace scrunchies with a classic custom bandana. Perfect for parties and formal settings; this wow look will collect a handful of praises for you to smile about later.

Procedure

First, make a perfectly neat bun and secure it with a hairpin. Now fold the bandana into a 3-4 inch long strip of fabric. Once your bandana is in the desired shape, wrap it around the bun and tie the ends into a knot at the base of your bun.

Messy Bandana Updo

A twisted and cooler version of the last hairdo, suited for a casual hangout with friends or even a date with your sweetheart. This time-saver look will make you gorgeous within minutes.

Procedure

Make a messy ponytail and then turn it into a roll. Secure the hair in place using bobby-pins and pull out the strands randomly to make your hair look glamorously messy and voluminous. Use a silk bandana to finish the look.

The variations that a bandana can introduce to our mane are endless. Pick your ‘do and parade it with sheer confidence.
