July 17, 2019

Sometimes money is usually in scarce that we may not afford to purchase clothing in the way we would want to. Your budget should not limit you from looking awesome.
For a few dollars, you can buy a decent medium or over sized suit from the best suit tailors in Dubai and have it customized by your tailor. To get the best fit from your medium or over sized suit, you need to know what the tailors can and can’t do. You furthermore need to understand what actual fit looks like lest you end up getting the wrong size made for you. Your perfect fit should complement your natural stance. Below are a few more tips you need to consider when working with your tailor to customize your suit.

The Shoulders

Your tailor should make the jacket shoulders match your physique. The best shoulders need to be flat and of the same length as the bone under it. Check to ensure that your seam meets the sleeve just at the point your arm is jointed with the shoulder. If the tailor does this then your jacket will have a perfect fit on the shoulders which is an important aspect of a perfect fit suit.

Wrongly tailored suits will have the seam hanging past the shoulders which creates ripple effect and wrinkles when worn. The best suit tailors have admitted that jacket shoulders are among the toughest parts to correct so do not buy the wrong jacket for your suit.

Trouser Break

A break is normally the wrinkle you see at the bottom of your trouser at the point it meets with the shoes. This often results from the trouser being too lengthy and folding up after meeting the shoes. For your suit trouser it is important you have the height corrected and a cuff adjusted the right way. The perfect trouser cuff needs to be in contact with your shoes but nothing more than that. Adjusting this is however much easier compared to adjusting a jacket shoulder. This is actually why most pants are sold while unhemmed so that the buyer can customize them to fit their style and height.

Jacket Closure

Jacket buttoning rules demand that whenever you wear your jacket and standing, it has to be buttoned. The jacket buttons need to close without straining. No wrinkles or radiations should form on the jacket after buttoning up. It should not be too tight or too loose as that can destroy the jackets look on you. It needs to button up okay and prevent your shirt from being overexposed. The waist measurements on the jacket also need to look okay and well-cut.

This can, however, be difficult if the waist measurements are too large of fitting and in that case then the tailor has very little they can do to make it a perfect fit.

Sleeve Length of the Jacket

For the best sleeve measurement a half-inch linen which should expose just about half an inch of the shirt underneath. The sleeve of the jacket should not hide the shirt fully. Most men prefer their jacket sleeve length to be just at the wrist or slightly above it. Many jackets are thus made with longer sleeves so that depending on your arm height you can easily customize them to a perfect fit. Lengthy sized sleeves make the jacket look oversized whereas you may look struggling in a short-sleeved jacket.

Length of Jacket

The overall jacket length needs to be just past your waist but not cover the buttocks area fully. Consider the jacket too length if it passes all the way beyond your buttocks and it is rather too short if it is barely past your waist. Your tailor should take your measurements and adjust the jacket just to make it fit perfectly. Remember the hem of the jacket can only be adjusted upwards to a certain level until you destroy the location of the pockets so one should be very keen at this measurement.

Collar

A well-fitted collar is distinguishable from a poorly fitted one. What makes it even more hectic is finding the cause for this effect may just be very hectic for most jackets. A tight collar can cause bunching and a few folds on the jacket when worn. This also causes a wrinkling effect on the shirt underneath.

Considering that making these adjustments can be very costly, be careful in making the measurements in order to get an original jacket that best fits and complements your body.

Shoulder Rumpling

Rumpling is often caused by wearing over sized jackets and generally your shoulders being less broad to make a perfect fit. After customization, if you notice the rumpling effect persisting then you should consider looking for another medium-sized jacket that could best fit with your body physique.
