10 Life Changing Fashion Hacks For Every Girl Out There

April 7, 2017

Fashion is something that is very subjective and means different to every different person. Fashion bloggers keep on giving us many varied tips and tricks, mostly about what is in trend. To someone, it might mean wearing all the trendy clothes and flashy designer accessories to someone else, it might be as simple as coupling a cool t-shirt with a good jeans and rocking accessories. No matter how subjective fashion may be, here are a few tips that will help save girls a lot of time and money. And yes, these tips are evergreen:

  1. Own the basics
These are the clothes that are a complete necessity for every wardrobe. Buy good quality stuff while buying basics as you will always need these clothes and they need to last long. The basics include a pair of blue and black jeans, some simple t-shirts, that little black dress that is every girls dream and of course your inners. These things go with almost all occasions, can be paired with all types of clothes and are extremely comfortable and hence, necessities.
  2. Buy Your Size
Remember that cute blouse that you saw in the shop the other day but found that it was a size loose, I am pretty sure you were tempted to buy it. Maybe, you even bought it. And if you did, you just wasted your money. This generally happens during discount season when people find amazing outfits at discounted prices but don’t find their proper size, yet they buy it. But it only acts as the ornament lying in your cupboard because you hardly wear it. Not buying your size will render the cloth useless. So might as well leave it for someone who might actually be able to wear it.
  3. Find the shop
Girls are peculiar about everything that we deal with and why should it be any different for the place from where we buy our clothes. Locate shops that are nearest to you where you can always hop in to get your favorite clothes. Now that we think of it, why do you even need to visit a store? You can actually find some cool sites online where you can shop till you drop (quite literally in the comfort of your home).  One of the examples is mandmdirect.com which also offers great discounts so that you don’t end up bankrupt at the end of your shopping.
  4. Accessories
Accessories add life to your look and to most of your clothes too. They are an absolute essential. The list of accessories is long and like fashion, the choice of accessories will differ. But it is very important to get the right accessories for the right cloth. Maybe you love watches, then you should choose the right watch to wear with every cloth that you own.
  5. Hassle free clothes
If it takes you more than a couple of second to get in and out of a particular cloth, chances are you may not want to wear it more than 2 or 3 times. People prefer stuff that is hassle free, can be slipped on and off easily and is extremely comfortable. If not, then it is just an accessory for your wardrobe which will never be used.
  6. Neutral clothes
Neutral colors, stripes and checks go with everything and it is really easy to mix and match. Buy clothes which go with maximum number of variations so that you don’t have to waste your time searching your wardrobe. Occasionally, you can also pair it up with jazzy accessories or flashy party wear if needed and it will work pretty much all year long.
  7. Shoes
Shoes are an important part of our wardrobe. It is said that a lady may dress in rags but is always shod well. You must choose your shoes carefully. Avoid buying too many heels as they are not only uncomfortable but also extremely unhealthy. Go for flats, ballerinas or wedges instead.
  8. Do not clutter
If you are a woman who loves to shop, then you probably might be going through this. Your wardrobe is full of clothes that you may have not seen for month, possibly even years. Yet you hoard them because it is very difficult to let go of clothes, you feel a connect with them as though they are a part of you. My mother still has her 20 year old clothes which don’t even fit her right in her ward robe. But the rule is, if there is something that you haven’t used in 6 months time, you probably do not need it. And when you don’t need it, you are only collecting clutter. It is way better to get rid of these clothes and give them to someone who needs them. You can even resell them if any such shops are available in your locality.
  9. Makeup
See which makeup look suits you the most and can be worn in maximum circumstances. Go with that makeup regime to always finish your make up in minimal time. This can come in very handy when you have an important client meeting and you are running late.
  10. Buy stuff that needs minimum maintenance
What this entails is buy clothes that don’t need to be ironed, can be washed by machines, do not have zips that might need repairing or buttons that might fall off and need to be changed. Having a wardrobe that needs minimum maintenance is but a blessing in disguise. It saves on both time and money and is clearly a winner for us.

So for all the busy girls out there, don’t you worry as we will make sure that you don’t lose out on that fashionista within while you take on the world!
