Bills Bills Bills… Cannot live with them or without them. With constant inflation and stagnant income, its becoming more and more difficult to manage expenses. Thus, it is becoming increasingly vital to balance income with outgoings. If not adding to ones’ saving,   at-least striking a break-even is becoming a common mans’ motto in today’s stressful life.

A little  thought and willpower applied one  could relieve the income and expense stress if not eliminate it. With the start, of a new month, and a brand new day the first knock at the door before your pay check is of the electricity bill, which is slightly higher than the previous month. If we start using more of natural resources, and limit use of air conditioners and radiators the bill burden could be lowered. Remember a little common sense is required to save on energy bills. Radiators cannot dominate lifestyles and moreover some useful measures such as glazing windows can be installed to home windows in order to stay away from the freeze. One could limit the use of radiators to a few hours during the afternoon. Switching off the lights, fans,  television computer, and other electrical appliances could also be extremely beneficial rather than keeping them on sleep mode. Boilers and heaters too use a lot of power and energy and can be one of the main reasons of increasing ones electricity bill. One can switch  off the heater once the room is warm enough. Spending on modern electrical appliances, which save power and energy could be a reliable and a long term investment rather than spending on ever increasing electricity bill.

Next comes the gas bill. Your gas bill depends on the amount of cooking time spent in the kitchen. Cooking with lid covered on the cooking pot, using non stick cookware and mainly avoiding over cooking of the food could help save on gas bills and simultaneously preserve the nutrients in food consumed.

Scarcity of water could also become a worldwide issue. In the past water supplied for free, but today, we pay for it adding to another bill. Repairing leakages at home, turning off the taps when not required, stopping water wastage and also trying to inculcate the habit of bucket bath to shower bath could be of considerable help in reducing household water bills. Remember just a little awareness is required, and lucidity will flow.

The ever rising fuel prices have managed  to get ones heart to his mouth. Old vehicles consume more fuel than new vehicles. It would be smarter to change their old vehicle to a new one, as old vehicles also cause more pollution. A better option would be using cars which runs either on gas or electricity. However, electric cars are not entirely functional till yet, but in the near future, there is a possibility. This will not be an expense, but a long term saving cause, as there might be more hype in petrol prices in the future.

Last but not the least, of the significant expenses nowadays are cell phone bills. With increasing social media sites, data plan bills are rising. Majority of teenagers are getting engaged on phones by browsing social media websites over their phone, while having internet connection at their homes. Studies have also showed too much of cell phone usage can lead to brain disease. Health is Wealth and a healthy family could soon be a wealthy family. Again gathering a little awareness to limit ourselves only to the things needed could add to good health and healthier pockets.

Expenses will never stop, but now it is totally in our hands to make our lives stressful or stress-free.
